Solved: I am currently trying to file the foreign tax credit with passive income. I do not have to file form 1116. The software at the “interview” stage recognizes this.

<P>during the federal review. The online software is not recognizing that form 1116 is not required. Instead it is asking me to attach form 1116 or take a deduction. Can we please get this fixed or is there a work around? The foreign tax is from a form 1099-DIV, and I have attached 2 screenshots. 1)has the last screen of the foreign tax credit form which does not ask me any other questions 2) is the error message I am getting during the final review.</P>
