I went back to my 2018 filed taxes to amend them as it seems under the disaster relief bill that I should be able to deduct my hurricane casualty losses as I was in a Federally declared disaster area. When I originally filed, I could not deduct my loss due to the 10% rule. It seems now, if i read correctly, I can now deduct my losses minus $500. When I went back to amend, Turbo Tax still deduct $100 and does not allow my deduction due to 10% rule. I am itemizing. Provided my interpretation is correct, how to I correctly amend this return? Do I have to manually change the information on the forms?
I did make sure the software was up to date before I started the amendment.
Thank you for the help.

Yes you can indicate the Stafford Act- the FEMA is part of the program.
@ docwells
Yes, the 2018 TurboTax has been updated. See below.
I have done the below. I clicked on the FEMA disaster area box. Should I click on the Stafford Act box instead as using the FEMA disaster area box does not seem to be working for me.
Thanks
