I don't think I was able to claim my kids on this years taxes, why is that?

As for your 18 year old, you should be able to claim him as your dependent. In the year that he turned 17, you lost the child tax credit, but you can still claim him as a dependent.

Did you enter your dependents in My Info? Do you see them listed on line 6c of your tax form? Have you entered your income yet?

"Full-time" is defined by the school she is attending. 8 credit hours is "iffy."
