Greetings,
I have an HSA acct. and used my Care Credit credit card "CCCC" to pay/charge $799 in dental expenses. The CCCC was charged the full $799, but I am paying CCCC in installments, interest free = great deal.
There is accumulated cash in the HSA acct. Can I reimburse myself the full $799 ? Or - can I only reimburse the total of the payments I have made to CCCC ?
Many thanks for your help.

You can reimburse yourself for the entire medical expense, $799, as long as none of that expense is covered by insurance and the expense was incurred after the date your HSA was established.
Thanks for the speedy reply !
If it is partially covered by insurance -
just deduct the claim pymt = net cost
and reimburse that amount ?
Many thanks again,
Regards,
Tom
Yes, you can reimburse yourself for the net cost by obtaining a distribution from the HSA.
