Situation:
Married filing Jointly
Each Spouse as their own HSA account
1 spouse covers SELF only via HDHP
1 spouse covers Family (Self + 2 children) via an HDHP
Spouse 1 contributed 3850
Spouse 2 contributed 5025
Total contribution: 8875
Since both HSAs would be combined and go against the total limit for 2023 which is 8300 (I believe I'm correct), why is turbo tax saying Spouse 2 has an excess contribution of 1125?
Shouldn't it be 575 over the total 8300 limit?

The limit for 2023 is $7750, unless one or both of your are age 55 or older.
Thank you Opus 17. You caught the mistake I made... Had 2024 on my mind and didn't verify the 2023 family limit. Thanks for the quick and accurate response!!
