HSA account due to HDHP in 2023 and PPO in 2024

I have a HSA account from HDHP plan in 2023.
In 2024, I had a PPO coverage and the funds in HSA remained.

Do I mention in 2024 TurboxTax about having an HSA account in 2024?

You need to report the HSA in 2024 for any of these three reasons:

1. You made contributions in 2024

2. You took distributions in 2024

3. You had a carryover of excess contributions from 2023 to 2024

If none of these apply to you in 2024, then you do not have to add form 8889 to your 2024 return. This is true even if you had an HSA with money in it in 2024.

The way you don't add the form is by telling TurboTax that you don't have a health account on the screen that asks, "Tell us about your health-related accounts in 2024".
