My wife, working as a customer service representative, lost her client for a few months in 2022. She could only work 2 hours/week (from 40 hrs/week) for a few months. She applied for unemployment but didn't receive any decision yet. We are filing the return jointly. Can we report it in turbo tax? Does it make sense to report it if feasible? I guess any possible tax break is worth to pursue for.
Thanks!

Loss of a job or loss of hours at a job is not reported on a tax return.
Loss of hours at work is not entered on a tax return. You simply have less income to pay tax on.
