How do i value wedding dress donation

I want to donate my once worn wedding dress to charity. I bought it for $1700 in August 2016 and the designer (maggie sottero) still lists it on their website. How do I determine tax value?

The value is whatever a buyer would pay for the same dress in the same condition (used).  Since wedding dresses are so personal, it may be very difficult to determine a fair value.  You may be better off selling it through a consignment shop and then donating the cash.  Or at least, a consignment shop might be able to give you an estimate of value.
