How do i start over for the child tax credit? it says i dont qualify but we had a baby in october

Make sure you select "The whole year" when asked how long the child lived with you. Children born or deceased anytime withint the year are considered to have lived with you the whole year. Here is how to go back: 

1. Select the Personal Info tab
2. Scroll down to the dependents name and select Edit 
3. Proceed through the prompts until you get to the question above
