Was entering an item donation for January 2018, but I entered it under 2017 instead. Its deductible won't let me change the year from 2017 to 2018 under the entry, and I had 20 items in the donation. Would prefer NOT to have to enter those 20 again. Just need to change the year of donation from 2017 to 2018.

i am sorry but you can't change the year in the tabs.the tabs are only made up for the beginning of the year to the end of the year.however don't get discouraged you can go to the date you want to change and where it says add edit or delete click edit than at the top right you will see the words report with two logos one is a pdf( red and white logo) file click that and you can print out the items with the date in question than delete it from your 2017 items. than proceed to the 2018 tab and put your items in again from your printed copy .printing your copy will save you a little time and allow you to reenter into the 2018 tab .hope this works out for you

While this may be true, it is a HORRIBLE answer. This is the kind of little thing that makes me wish I had a better option and makes me wish I weren't buying Turbotax every year.
Turbotax, if you are listening, you need to FIX itsDeductible. Changing a date for a donation should be EASY and shouldn't have an arbitrary barrier of an individual year. (Just like you should be able to better import dontations from itsDeductible into Turbotax. This latter function USED to work years ago...)
I agree. This is a huge issue. I just spent almost 2 hours inputting 70 items some of which were custom and completed the itemization before I realized I put in the wrong date. Why in the world you can't simply type in a revised date is just crazy. The initial response frustrates me even more because I don't even own a printer. After many years of being a loyal customer, I am having serious doubts about using this software again next year. There are more options out there now than there used to be. Turbo - I hope you are listening...
You should always double check to ensure you are on the correct year prior to entering items. As for not having a printer, go to the library and print out your report.
