My husbands company moved his office from a building to home at the beginning of 2021. He only works from his office in our house. He only uses that room for work. Can he claim the home office deduction due to employer convenience?

Not for federal, but possibly for state. Federal tax law no longer allows a deduction for employee business expenses.
Some states allow a deduction. Enter those expenses in Deductions & Credits. If they are eligible for a state tax deduction, TurboTax will move them to your state return.
We don't pay state taxes. Since he can't claim a home office on federal taxes, it would be a waste of time, correct?
You do not need to spend any more time on the home office since you are unable to use this for the federal return and your state doesn't require a return.
