Why is home interest on mortgage for itemized deductions not being allowed on Turbo Home and Business 2018? The loan was to build the home. I have completed the worksheet and it won't allow the deduction. I have changed from standard deduction to itemized and it won't flow through to the return even when over-riding? It fails the final review. I understand the SALT limit but I can't find any IRS document that limits the amount being entered $12193.
