Home Energy Credits

When is the step by step section of TurboTax desktop going to be updated for Home Energy Credits? It is still saying “available soon”. And that this section is unavailable. Form 5695 for 2025 has been updated and is in the program. What is the hold up on getting the program working?

Please continue to check back as many sections are currently being updated.

Some of TurboTax forms and features may not be ready because they are awaiting finalization from the IRS or certain state Departments of Revenue.  Some of the new tax laws require existing software to be revised or new tax forms to be finalized.

There were many significant new tax laws passed this year.

TurboTax Online updates for new tax laws and other features, but they are done automatically in your web browser. You do not have to manually update like in TurboTax desktop software.

If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can manually check for updates for  your TurboTax program by clicking on "Online" in the black bar near the top of your screen and selecting "Check for Updates."

Make sure your program is updated and try some of the steps below.

but your website: Intuit App - Tax form availability, says it available in both versions which is the problem. We purchased this product and can't use it to complete and submit our taxes. The bigger issue also is the online version doesn't appear to have this problem; this is either intentional or an IT issue on how updates are rolled out to the desktop version.

The Schedule A pop-up form supporting Form 5695 is BROKEN...and NOT working per the update sent out on January 28th.

You can enter home energy credit data into the form, but it comes back and saying basically.. sorry, you are not qualified for a home energy credit in 2025.

TurboTax.. FIX this problem, so your end-users can file their taxes!

TurboTax... I am using the Standalone (downloaded) version of TT 2025 and the Form 5695 is NOT working.

You can input your data into Schedule A screens (Form 5695 should be fed from that screen)... but after entering all data... TurboTax says "sorry - you are not qualified for a credit in 2025".

Please fix this software bug... so I can file my taxes.
