health care premiums
Where do I include health care premiums we pay from payroll deductions? they are not HSA.
The box for medical deductions made is sound like this wasn't part of that.

You can only deduct the premiums if they are after tax. If you are unsure, look at a pay stub. If it is subtracted from gross income before stating the net, then it is pre-tax and not deductible. You are already getting a deduction.
After tax medical is entered on Schedule A.
Medical, dental, and vision expenses are reported on Schedule A and entered in the Deductions & Credits section:
- With your return open, search for "Schedule A" and then click the "Jump to" link in the search results.
- Answer Yes on the Did you have any medical expenses in 2019? screen.
You will then be prompted to enter your medical expenses, starting with prescriptions.
