I have no qualifying children and did not receive Letter 6419 but Turbotax has input the EIP amount (Letter 6475) onto Form 8812 as Child Tax Credits, is that correct?

If you indicated that you received the 3rd stimulus payment then nothing is entered on Form 1040 Line 30 for the Recovery Rebate Credit, which has nothing to do with the Child Tax Credit.

The Child Tax Credit is entered on Form 1040 Line 28. Since you have no dependents then nothing should be entered on Line 28.

You may be asked to complete the Schedule 8812 question for advanced child tax credits -

Everyone is being asked this question since TurboTax does not know if the user was one who received these advances from the IRS in 2021.

Enter a 0 (zero) when asked to enter a number on the Schedule 8812. This will correct the issue and remove the Schedule 8812 from your tax return so that you can file the return.

Using the desktop editions, click on Forms. When in Forms mode open the Form 1040 on the left side of the screen.

What is entered on Line 30 and on Line 28?

0 is on line 28, but

Line 23 has 2800, which adds 2800 to tax owed

Sch 2 line 19 has 2800, which feeds line 23

sch 8812 line 14f has 2800, which feeds sch 2 line 19

That is strange...

On the Schedule 8812 under Line 12 is a Smart Worksheet. Remove the amount shown and enter a 0 on Line B1 and if married filing Jointly Line B2. Make sure that the box in A1 is checked Yes. All other boxes and Lines in the Smart Worksheet should be blank (empty)

See if that removes added tax. If it does not, then delete the Schedule 8812.
