Form 8283 column g

In years past with TurboTax, I would have donations of multiple items (non-cash) to a charity that would total over $500, but no single item over $500. When the program generated Form 8283 section A columns e, f, and g wouldn't even be populated. Now, for the 2025 (Desktop) version, the program won't let me file without populating column e, donor's cost basis. I have no idea what the cost basis is. All of these items are over 5 years old. The aggregate total is over $500, but no single item is over $500. All of these are clothing and household item donations. The previous tax returns have always been accepted by the IRS. Why is TurboTax forcing this now? Is there any workaround to get past this and file electronically?

To deduct the donations the cost basis must be more than the value of the items donated. Just enter an amount that is a reasonable estimate of the cost of the items when you purchased them which will be much more than the thrift store value of the items.
