If this is a form that is not needed on the return you can delete the form.

Here is how to delete form 7205:

  1. Open or continue your return.
  2. Go to the Search bar and search for the form by typing the form name.
  3. Select the Jump to link with the form name.
  4. Then, see if that takes you to a summary screen.
    • Type Form 7205 in the search bar and selecting the Jump to link in the search results takes you to the Your 7205 screen.
    • You can remove the Form on this screen by selecting the trash icon.

How do I delete other tax forms or schedules?

While it's OK to delete blank, duplicate, or irrelevant forms, we don't recommend deleting valid forms or schedules, for example, nonfinal forms or forms that won't let you e-file. Understand that deleting a form or schedule may create new, unforeseen problems before proceeding.

I had a similar problem. When I spoke with a turbo tax rep, we were able to fix the problem this way:

Go to "All Other Expenses" under "Business Expenses."

At the bottom of the page there is a zero entered in the box that says "Energy Efficient Buildings."

Delete that zero so that the box is empty (no zero, no anything - just blank.)

Then try to efile.

Worked for me!

Yes, it did this as well and it worked for me also. I posted this answer as well.

This is not working for me.  There is a Zero on the line Business Expenses:  All other expenses, but when I hit Update, there is no Zero shown on that...I did not enter Zero in this category.  Turbo Tax, please help!  Also there is NO Form 7205, so I can't delete it and it doesn't apply to me anyway.  So I cannot efile until that block or glitch in TT program is fixed....please help!

This situation is normally resolved if you find the specific line item for "Energy Efficient Buildings" within the list of business expenses. Select Update next to that line item and delete the 0 amount or other amount that appears.

This is happening to me in the TT Business software, not Home and Business. Where can I fix it there? TT won't let me file unless I attach form 7205--is this a glitch in the TT software???

That is exactly what happened to me as I was trying to e-file my LLC taxes. This is happening to me in the Business software. Is that what you are using, or is it the Home and Business software?

MonikaK1....I found a solution to the problem I cited above.  I opened my actual Federal Corporate tax return (Form 1120-S) in TurboTax and manually deleted the "0" that was on line 19 ("Energy Efficient Commercial Buildings Deduction...").   That de-activated TurboTax telling me I had to fill out a Form 7205.  Then, it allowed me to e-file my return.  It was not possible to access that line (to delete the 0) from the Business Expenses section you refer to.  Go straight to the tax return itself.  Whew!  I'm new to this community so hope others see this post if it will help....
