It is possible the 1098 may not have the RE taxes on it if you don't have them in escrow ... or you may need to look around on the form (some have it on page 2 or the back). Not sure what you mean by portion ? If you own the home 100% of the taxes you paid are yours.
(Sorry, I didn't include the fact that I divorced last year and refinance my home in my name only. I think I need to enter half of whatever the total amount is.) Box 1 has the amount we paid in interest, but Box 10 has the entire principal amount. Do I put this in for property tax?
