Hey guys, I put in my distributions but not my contributions for HSA and filed a few days ago. Do I get less of a refund for not including my contributions? I didn't realize I needed to put them in if it wasn't for a cafeteria plan. If it will give me back a substantial amount more, can I amend it on turbo tax and refile it? I filed federal and state and both have been accepted. Please help...

If your Health Savings Account (HSA) contributions were made with after-tax money from your own account instead of pre-tax money through your employer, then you should amend your return to include those deductible contributions.
Your refund amount should increase after the contributions are included. It may or may not be substantial since that depends on a lot of factors. Most likely your Federal and state returns will be affected by the change, so you will need to amend them both.
As mentioned by Mike9241, you should not change anything on your return yet, until you are actually starting the amending process. It is still too early to be able to amend a 2022 tax return using TurboTax, but there is plenty of time to do so since you are expecting an additional refund instead of expecting to pay additional tax.
once the return is fully processed (you get the refund) you can amend it. do not change anything until then. it's possible that you'll get a notice from the IRS first. then respond accordingly but most likely you'll have to file amended returns
