Last year I entered foreign tax paid on interest in Box 6 on the 1099-Int. Then when I went to Foreign Tax Credit, I was able to answer 'Yes' to the question asking if the taxes were related to just interest and dividends. Then the foreign tax amount I paid showed up and was added to my return.
This year, it's not working the same way. I even started an amended return for 2022 to verify this. Can anyone fix it or point me in the right direction to get it fixed?

Furthermore, in the amended return I started, when I changed the amount in box 6 of the 1099-Int, the amount showing in Deductions & Credits changed as well. The current version of Turbotax 2023 doesn't do this. The amount from box 6 does not get carried over to Deductions & Credits.
Just now I created an account under a different email and username. I entered the 1099-Int with an amount included in Box 6. I was able to get the amount to show up on the deductions and credits page. I still can't get it to work in my normal account, though.
Sometimes it could be a glitch in the database. Otherwise there is no rhyme or reason why it would work in one account and not the other. Be patient though because technology is constantly evolving.
