Filed taxes online and they were rejected for EIC reasons. I rechecked the EIC work sheet and all is correct. How do I find out if someone else filed for the child?

When someone else has listed a dependent on another return the return is rejected with a code specific for that reason. It will state "duplicate SSN" and indicate that a dependent is already listed on another return.
