With Turbo tax 2024, Delux version, I am unable to add a 1099-DIV without entering FEIN number.
This was not an issue in 2023 version or previous years.
When left balank, says need review.
When entered with zeros says OK, but comes as an error.
I have foreign earned divident with accounts in a foreign bank, which I need to report and include as income.
I have done this in the past for many years, this is the first version that says FEIN is requried field and gives me a error.
What is the work araound?
This question has nothing to do with FBAR.
Please do not suggest - Less Common Income --> Miscellaneous Income --> Other reportable income.
Income is from multiple sources so I do want to breakit down properly.
I do complete form 8938.

Try entering all nines or 99-99999000. See if this works. I also received a notice from a friend that used 99-0999999 and this worked for them.
Entering 99-9990000 is working, I do not see the errors. Thanks
How do I report this as an error to Turbo Tax, so they can fix it. That is when the number is not entered or Zeros are entered, it is reported as a warning only and not as an error?
