Employer reimbursed part of daycare expense

My employer provides $3K reimbursement for daycare expenses and I put aside $1.2K in dependent care FSA. Note, the $3K amount reimbursed is counted as part of my income for 2018.

I am eligible for child and dependent care credit for my taxes in 2018, and I paid total of $6540 for my daughter's daycare expenses.

Now, for claiming the child and dependent care credit, what amount should I enter, $6540 or ($6540-$3K) $3540.

The $1.2K FSA account contribution will be automatically handled by TurboTax.

The $3,000 isn't part of a dependent care benefit program? Was it reported in box 10 of your W2? Or were you actually just reimbursed the money?

Either way you would still enter the entire amount of $6,450 into the Dependent Care Expenses section. If TurboTax needs to adjust it based on box 10 of your W2 the program will take care of it.
