Where is the interface for the deduction for installation of electric heat pumps in tax year 2023? There's a line item in form 5695 (line 29) for electric heat pumps, but no instructions in the Turbotax Residential Energy Credits Section on how to enter the values or information. Any help would be appreciated.

I read a reply to a similar post that Form 5695 was not completed by the IRS yet. Supposedly 2/7/24. Can't understand why TurboTax would include an an incomplete form. Wasted a lot of my time.
Form 5695 has been completed by the IRS, but was not fully implemented and ready for release in TurboTax, who also has to test it with the IRS systems.
The Form 5695 is supposed to become available sometime on 2/07/2024 (projected.) It can occur at any time that date. Online TurboTax should update automatically when available. But in desktop TurboTax, however, it won't necessarily show up the minute it is released. Most routine weekly updates in the desktop product occur on Wednesday night to early Thursday mornings. So if not during the day, then hopefully an update with the form will come across sometime Wednesday night/early Thursday. You can use the table in the link below to watch for its availability. When it's released, there will be a green checkmark in the table. But again, desktop users may have to wait until the desktop product routinely updates overnight on Wednesday. It's also possible, as has happened before, that a form may still be further delayed, kinda like watching the arrivals/departures screen at the airport. But, hopefully, this one will be released in this week's update as scheduled.
