Education expenses without receipts

Hi there, I was a full time student for half the year in 2021.   I was wondering  how much of education expenses I can submit  without receipts  (as I have not saved them and probably difficult to get as I studied abroad) , and the kind of expenses I can claim without receipts. Thank you.

You are not allowed to deduct any expenses that you can't substantiate without adequate documentation. If you were to get audited, the IRS would require proof of the expenses, and without that they would probably not allow the education credit.
