How did I get a refund for earned income credit when it was my pension an oil royalties and not an actual job income. I'm kind of concerned that TurboTax did something wrong

we can't see your return so we can't see what happened. did you put this income on Schedule C rather than schedule E? contact support and you may have to upgrade to live.
I did not get an answer I still do not understand and I have no money as you noticed my income was less than $3,000 which means I'm supposed to get my taxes done for free I can't get any answers and I'm sick of this game. Your commercial says different the ad from Allstate says different. I don't understand get it. I put the numbers in the box according to the the 1099 and where I was instructed to put what box number in what spot.I also made it clear in the very beginning that it was a pension I said yes I even went back it said yes. Also I have tried to go back and amend it but I can't seem to get where I need to get it keeps taking me other places and won't give me answers to even bring it up in a normal format. It makes no sense or is this on purpose.
If you only have $3,000 in income you are not required to file a tax return.
When you income is less than the Standard Deduction, for someone single $12,200, Head of Household $18,350 or Married Filing Joint $24,400, you are not required to file a tax return.
The only reason you may want to file is if you had Federal Withholding or State Withholding that you would like to receive back.
