Earned Income Credit

Hello everyone,

There is a negative balance on my IRS account transcript stating -$3733. I checked and that is the code 768 earned income credit. My refund issued did not include that when it was issued to my bank account.

What does that mean? Will I get it soon I filed on 3/26/2023 and received only partial federal refunds because of the Earned Income Credit? Or was I disqualified?

It looks like your EIC may have been disqualified by the IRS and you will be getting a refund of $1,274.  You should be getting a letter from the IRS explaining why changes were made to you refund amount.
