I imported information from my financial advisor company. 1099-INT and 1099-DIV information has been included in both the 1099-INT and 1099-DIV sections so I am seeing forms entered and counted twice. So income from these sources is being duplicated. How do I correct this problem. If I delete 1099-INT's from the DIV section will they be deleted from the INT section? Do I have to delete all of these and re-enter by hand? Why is turbotax creating these duplicate entries?

TurboTax isn't creating the duplicates, that is what is transferring in to TurboTax. The program can only import what is made available. You can try to delete the duplicates, but if it doesn't correct the problem you will need to delete and enter manually. You can also try importing again after deleting if you can't correct the problem.
I have a similar problem. I imported data but didn't realize that data from last year was already present. The trash can delete is not working for me. How can I delete the duplicates?
Also, I am using the downloaded version of TurboTax, if that is relevant.
To delete the 1099-DIV entries in TurboTax Desktop, switch to forms mode. Once in forms mode, select any 1099-DIV and Schedule B related to the 1099-DIV and select delete form at the bottom of the page. Once you have deleted the forms, you can import the form again or enter the information manually.
I am having a similar problem with the duplicate entries but the 1099-INT entry was my fault. I do not see a delete option anywhere on the forms page for either the Schedule B or the specific 1099-INT form. I am using the download MAC desktop version. The trash can on the interface does not work and I am generally disappointed with the new interface for adding investment income which I blame for the duplicate entry.
Yes, the way to delete a form is different in the Mac version.
In the Mac version of TurboTax Desktop, when you have Schedule B open in Forms mode, go to the top menu bar and click on Forms. One of the options showing should be "Remove Schedule B".
In the alternative, you could go back to EasyStep, open Investment Income, and click the trash can icon that appears in the box for each item entered that you need to remove.
