I am a nurse practitioner and performed 56 exam for a nonprofit agency for their pre-k children. The total amount for these exams is over $8000.00 and the agency was not charged. Where do I put this large dollar donation in my taxes. I have a letter from the agency signed supporting this donation in kind.
Sincerely,
Kathleen

IF I DONATE CASH TO A 501C3 ORGANIZATION, DO I NEED A 'DONATION LETTER'?
Yes, you will need a letter if you gave more than $250 to the 501(c)(3) organization. The IRS requires public charities to provide a formal acknowledgment letter for any donation of more than $250. You may use this letter as proof of your contribution in claiming the tax deduction.
