It also needs to be used for more than 50% of business to qualify for the section 179 deduction. You can claim up to 50% of cost of the vehicle if used 100% of time for business
With new tax laws, vehicles placed in service after September 27, 2017 can claim a 100% deduction for vehicles used 100% for business.
