Does disabled include children with cerebral palsy

We adopted our daughter this year and she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Do I need to mark that she was "disabled"?

Yes, although that box is really meant for older children who may not qualify for certain tax benefits, if not for being disabled. Assuming we are talking about a baby or small child here, I don't think it would matter. But check anyway- you are not incorrect and it doesn't hurt anything.

Did you complete the Adoption Tax Credit section? Be sure to indicate "special needs" there- as that definitely makes a difference.
