Do we have to have an amount to put in car registration fees?

We pay our registration fees for 2 years at a time.  I don't have a registration fee this year but get an error when trying to file my taxes. Anyone with an answer?

Ignore the error.  Those fees are not required to be entered to file a tax return.

You are not required to enter car registration fees.  In fact, unless you have a lot of other itemized deductions like mortgage interest or property taxes paid, entering car registration fees will have no effect at all on your tax refund or tax due.
