Do I have to report my Canadian RRSP as a foreign account on my federal return form 8938, in addition to reporting it on the FBAR (FinCEN Report 114)?

I have had no contributions or withdrawls in my RRSP. Assets or over $10,000.

Please see attached a link to the IRS comparison of Form 8938 and FBAR.   It is quite possible that you have filing requirements for both.

The link provided does not mention Canadian RRSP which is supposed not taxable in the US.

Hi KarenJ, I am in the similar situation.  In case we need to file both Form 8938 and FBAR, which section of Form 8938 we need to fill out?  My understanding is Part VI, is this correct?
If I make a RRSP rollover, do I need to provide the "Date asset disposed ..." and "Date asset acquired ..." on the transferred funds from one retirement account to another (if I open a new account)?
Thanks in advance.
