Specifically, the kind of humidifier or air purifier you buy off of, i.e. Amazon, and set up yourself in a large room. No installation costs. My guess is the answer is no but I figure why not ask just in case.

The first kind of energy credit deals with improvements that create energy like solar panels. The second type of energy credit deals with expenses that reduce the energy cost of your home (there is a specific list under "Qualified energy efficiency improvements" on page 2 of the form 5695 instructions).
