CP2000 from IRS question

I got a CP 2000 from IRS. Apparently I missed a 1099MISC. I will pay what I owe but my question is, is this only for federal taxes? Should I proactively do something for the state tax return or just wait?

My advice is to proactively file an amended state tax return to report the missing 1099-MISC and pay any tax due.
