My child was born in 2019, and I did not file taxes in time to receive the $500 dependent stimulus relief. I was told that it would appear as a credit on my taxes when I file my 2019 return, but I do not see it included in the tax refund breakdown. How do I add the $500 CARES credit?

There is no stimulus credit on a 2019 tax return. It will be on the 2020 tax return you file next year.

If you did not receive the full amount to which you believe you are entitled, you will be able to claim the additional amount when you file your 2020 tax return. This is particularly important for individuals who may be entitled to the additional $500 per qualifying child payments.
