Child Care Tax Credit

I am not understanding why I am not getting the Child Care credit.  I am filing married, filing jointly, both have earned income.  I have Employer benefits of $4,999 in box 10 of W-2.  Total child care costs of over $15,000.  I've gone through all the questions under the topic.  When the summary comes up is lists Eligible Child Care costs as $4,999 and then subtracts the Employer portion of $4,999 and leaves me 0.  I believe the Eligible Child Care costs should be the $15,000-$4,999.  Since there is only one child I should get the 20% of the $3,000.  Not sure how to get this to come out.  Any help would be appreciated.

I have also gone through the online quiz from the IRS on this subject and is comes out that I should qualify for it.  Not sure what I answered wrong to not have this work out.

Child Care Tax Credit

Since you received $5,000 in child care through your employment you can’t get childcare credit.

You can't claim $3,000 of expenses in addition to the benefits on your W-2. The $3,000 maximum for expenses for the credit is reduced by the amount of the employer benefits. Since the benefits from your employer are more than $3,000, the $3,000 limit is reduced to zero.

Even though you don't get the child care credit, you still have to enter your child care expenses in TurboTax so that Form 2441 is included in your tax return. Otherwise the benefits in box 10 of your W-2 will become additional taxable income. So you should probably leave everything as-is in TurboTax.
