Charitable donation statement from previous year

I just received a corrected contribution statement from 2015.  My church had left off my last contribution of the 2015 and due to illness, I forgot about it until reviewing previous returns. Can I claim it on my 2019 return or amend a previous year and include it? It was a sizable amount and makes a big difference in a return. I would hate to loose that money.

No.  A charitable contribution can only be claimed in the year given and you cannot get a refund now for any tax year before 2017 since the 3 year statute of limitations has run out.

Sorry you would have to amend your 2015 return to add it.  And it's too late to amend or claims refund for 2015.  It's lost. You only have 3 years to amend.
