charitable contribution carryover

I used standard deduction for 2018, 2019, and 2020. I contributed approximately $3000 cash to charity for each of those year. The charitable contributions obviously were not used for deduction in those year since I had used standard deduction. Can I use the $3000 in each of those year as charitable carryover for 2021? If yes, then can carryover the entire 3K for each year?

Thanks.

charitable contribution carryover

No, you can't claim your prior years charitable contributions in the current year.

  • You can carry over your contributions that you are not able to deduct in the current tax year if they exceed your adjusted-gross-income (AGI) limits
  • As an FYI, TurboTax would have carried forward any charitable contributions if the $3,000 per year contributions exceeded your AGI limits.
