No, you can't claim your prior years charitable contributions in the current year.
- You can carry over your contributions that you are not able to deduct in the current tax year if they exceed your adjusted-gross-income (AGI) limits.
- As an FYI, TurboTax would have carried forward any charitable contributions if the $3,000 per year contributions exceeded your AGI limits.
