Car registration fees

car registration fees on turbo tax, after you enter your make&model. at amount, do you enter the total value of your car, or taxable value of your car, or total tax you paid for your car

You should enter the deductible portion of the auto registration fees you paid for the vehicle. 

You'll find the amount on your vehicle registration bill. If you need help finding this on your bill, contact your state's Department of Motor Vehicles. Many DMVs also have a registration look-up tool online.

Why doing my taxes on turbo tax,  I cannot add a car, or put an amount on cars already listed.  I cannot put any amount in this area.  Why?

If you type 'car registration fees' into the search box, and select 'Jump to car registration fees' TurboTax will take you to the 'Enter your car registration fees' page.

From there you should be able to add or edit your car registration fees.

If the screen is frozen, try logging out and back in.
