Can you deduct health insurance premiums paid out of pocket while you were on FMLA and short term disability?

Health insurance premiums are only deductible as part of your itemized deductions. In order to itemize deductions you have to have enough deductions to be greater than your standard deduction of $12,950 if you're single, $25,900 if you're married and $19,400 if you're head of household.
