Can you claim taxes on mortgage payments under the sales tax in your tax breaks? Or is the form 1098 the only one you can use in regards to mortgage?

Mortgage interest payments are not sales taxes.  Mortgage loan payments are not sales taxes.  So, no you cannot.

Mortgage interest payments are not sales taxes.  Mortgage loan payments are not sales taxes.  So, no you cannot.
