Can I split non-cash donations made in one day so that the value of the items does not go over $500?

On 1 day, I donated over 500 books to a library, and ItsDeductible placed a value of $2000.  If I split this into 4 donations, the value of each would only be $500.

No.  And why?  If the TOTAL value of ALL non-cash contributions for the entire YEAR are over $500, you need to enter the additional information (Form 8283).
