Can I claim improvements to a home if I don't own the home?
I do not own my residence. However, with the permission of the home owner we have made improvements in 2015 that qualify for home energy credits. We paid for all expenses out of pocket and the home owner is not claiming these upgrades. Am I able to claim these expenses and upgrades?

You have to be the homeowner to claim credit.
