Can I claim a home office deduction if I used my home office to search for jobs while I was unemployed?

I have been unemployed, and outside of using my home office for one freelancing gig, I have used it fully to search for a full time job. Can I write all of these months off while I search for a job and was collecting unemployment?

No.   Sorry---Job search expenses are not deductible on a federal tax return.  That "miscellaneous" deduction was eliminated by the tax laws that changed for 2018 and beyond.
