Bought a primary residence before we sold

We bought a primary residence in Feb. 2016, but weren't able to sell our previous primary residence until Aug. 2016.  Can I deduct interest and property taxes for both for that overlap time frame or just one?

Yes, you can deduct mortgage interest on a first and second home and all property tax paid on property you owned in 2016.
