Because of the recent natural disaster in L.A. county, people in L.A. county have an automatic extension to file income tax by October 15, 2025 this year. Is this true?

It is not on the official list YET so to be safe I would file and extension, but I cannot imagine it will not be added very soon. See Tax relief in disaster situations | Internal Revenue Service.
