Sort of.

Starting for 2018, the child is now required to have a Social Security Number to receive the full Child Tax Credit (up to $2000).

However, you can still qualify for up to $500 of the credit (usually for non-child dependents, and it is sometimes being called the the "family credit")

Can I send amended form with the ssn, once I'll get one (around mid May 2019)?
