Are you still using your business vehicle? I answered this question no as the vehicle was sold in Jan 2017. When I enter the date sold TurboTax says it's an error and needs to be a date in 2016. I didn't sell the vehicle in 2016.

You should answer Yes to "Are you still using your business vehicle?". That question applies to 2016 only. So, in your case, you were still using your business vehicle on 12/31/2016.
